Andrew Nesbitt rocketed his way to a well deserved victory in the 2000 Shell Donegal International Rally after setting a blistering pace throughout the three day event. Driving his mighty Cuisine de France Subaru Impreza WRC, the Armagh driver was fastest on all of the Donegal stages and now moves to the top of the table in the Toshiba Computers Tarmac Championship with 30 points.

Ford Puma contenders Donagh & Fergal Kelly completed last weekend's second Puma Championship round (the Kumho Tyres Scottish Rally June 10th/11th), happy to have delivered a points scoring performance in which they brought their charge home third in the Puma class.

Mark Fisher and Gordon Noble, winners of the Super 106 Cup Championship in
1999, are absolutely gutted at the moment, as their prize drive on the
Acropolis Rally goes sour. Stage 3 saw their demise as they suffered a
catalogue of connected problems, eventually leading to no drive to exit
the stage. Even more upsetting is the news that after Stage 2, they had
moved up from their starting position of 40 to 18th overall.

106 Cup - Round 4 - Red Dragon Rally - 3 June '00

The Red Dragon Rally in Port Talbot, South Wales was the setting for round 4 of the Peugeot Super 106 Cup. Rory Galligan was hoping to put the disappointment of his last two non finishes behind him and get his championship challenge back on track. However Rory was again plagued with bad luck. Eight miles into the first stage gear linkage problems left the car stuck in 5th gear. Rory continued, having to slip the clutch to get around tight corners and hairpins. Close to the end of the stage the engine cut out, leaving the crew to push the car to the stage finish and into service.

MAYO CREWS CONTINUE GLORY TRAIL AT CAVAN RALLY

Round 5 of the Dunlop National Rally Championship, the Hotel Kilmore Cavan Stages Rally had seven Mayo & District Motorsport Club members taking part. Once again, the West of Ireland Club were among the prizewinners in the 9 Special Stage event held around Killashandra, Butlers Bridge and Cavan town.

competitors to the limit on the Red Dragon Rally, the fourth round of the
Super 106 Cup consisting of a five stage, forty-five mile format through
Margan, Resolven and Rheola forests.

106 Cup - Round 4 - Red Dragon Rally - 3 June '00
Much talked about Irish rallying prospect Max McKillen from Donnybrook, Dublin, travels to Swansea in Wales this weekend in top form following on from a string of recent successes. Competing in the hotly contested Super 106 Cup, the 26 year old will be looking for a repeat performance of his excellent third place finish on last month's two day Pirelli International Rally, when he competes in Saturday's Red Dragon Rally which marks the halfway stage of the 8 round series.
