DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND IT'S CONTROL, MAYO & DISTRICT MOTORSPORT CLUB HAS CANCELLED THE EVENT
IT IS HOPED THAT WE WILL HOLD THIS EVENT AT A FUTURE DATE.

Mayo & District Motorsport Club host a LOOSE SURFACE (GRAVEL) AUTOCROSS on Sunday next 30th July 2000 at Quinn's Quarry, Williamstown, County Galway. The event is authorised by Motorsport Ireland, the sports governing body and held under the International Sporting Code of the F.I.A. Competitors are invited to apply for regulations to Event Secretary, Margaret McGreal, Main Street, Foxford, County Mayo. Telephone 094-56726 (after 6 p.m.) or 087-6766875.

Round 6: The Quinton Rally - 29th July 2000

This weekend The Quinton Rally will play host to round 6 of the Peugeot Super 106 Cup. This is a 45 mile stage event set in the Welsh forests. The route will use some of the famous, fast, flowing RAC stages of Crychan and Caeo.


T-230R to Debut as Course Car

The new T-230R, the first turbo charged front wheel drive rally car to be released from the Gordon Spooner Engineering stable, developed in conjunction with Mountune Race Engines and DPRS, is to make its competition debut as course car on the Clare Stages, based at Ennis in County Clare, a round of the Irish National Championship on Sunday 3rd September.

Mark Fisher, the 27 year old Ulsterman, along with his experienced co-driver fellow Irishman Gordon Noble contested the Enterprise Rally last weekend based in the Neath Valley forests. Despite some problems, they completed the event in their left hand drive Group A Subaru Impreza in a comfortable second place overall

The two young tigers should provide fireworks in the Super 1600 division, with a provisional entry also received from former British Rally Champion Martin Rowe in a works Ford Puma.

TROA Regulation Changes

STATEMENT FROM RALLIES COMMITTEE
The Rallies Committee of Motorsport Ireland at a meeting held on Wednesday 12th July 2000, gave consideration to a request from the Tarmac Rally Organisers Association (TROA) for approval for a change to the regulations of the Toshiba Computers Irish Tarmac Rally Championship.

The TROA sought approval for their decision to run a "Toshiba Computers Irish Tarmac Challenge" as part of the Manx Trophy event on the 7th to 9th September 2000.


RAVENS ROCK RALLY ON TG4

The recent Suirway Forklifts Ravens Rock Rally, which saw Michael Barrable end a two year victory drought, will be televised this Thursday the 13th of July @ 20:00 on TG4. The ½ hour problem will also feature action from the Ford Ka Rally Championship which took place on the Waterford event.

The event will be held close to DOON, BALLINAHOWN, ATHLONE on the main ATHLONE BIRR Road (N62). The venue will be signposted from Ballinahown.
The event will begin with Scrutiny from 9.30hrs, Practice 11.00hrs and Timed Runs will commence at 12.00hrs. Drivers will be allowed One practice run.
