Navigational championship for years. They beat former champions, Trevor
Farrell & Noel Hall on a Tie break situation. Last years winners,

Introductory Courses Set up for Racing, Rallying and Karting
Courses Compulsory Before Competition Licences Issued
With effect from 1st December 2004, all newcomer competitors to Circuit
Racing, Stage Rallying and Karting will be required to undertake a
Motorsport Ireland “Introduction to Motorsport Course” prior to being
issued with a competition licence. This is the first such formal coaching
programme ever to be introduced to Irish Motorsport.

The Rally New York took place on the 5th and 6th of November 2004. Headquarters were located in the town of Monticello, Sullivan County which is approx 90 miles North West of New York City.

Last weekend saw young cork rally star Brendan Murphy taking the long
trip to landudno in north Wales to take part in the final round of the
Welsh national rally championship needing only seven out of a possible
twenty five points in order to secure the title.

It didn't matter that Mother Nature tried
her best - with cool temperatures, wind and rain - to steal the spotlight
for most of the Lake Superior ProRally (LSPR), the ninth and final round of
the 2004 SCCA ProRally Championship Presented by Hot Wheels(r). No, no
matter what she tried, she was forced to take a backseat to the epic battle
waged for first between Seamus Burke and Tim O'Neil.

Its been a highly successful season for the the Mitsubishi Motors UK rally team of Brendan Crealey and co-driver Steve Harris. Driving the works Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII, they secured the National Production Class title on the previous event and therefore went to the seventh and final round of the Kumho National Rally Championship as Champions.

on Saturday (9th October). Ireland's young rally star
Shaun Gallagher did not compete in the event but was
very much involved in this year's rally albeit in a

On what was Denis' first visit to the island, the Eurocables crew finished 13th
overall. Graham Thomson, a cameraman for the World Rally Championship, was
co-driving Denis for the first time. It was a baptism of fire as they
tried to become accustomed with each other during the opening night's stages
and they finished the leg outside the top 20.

to Cork this weekend for it's final round, the Murphy
Construction Cork '20. Limerick crew of Colm Murphy

their disappointing retirement from the Ulster rally.

MIKKO HIRVONEN, Subaru World Rally Team driver, has visited Rally School Ireland in Monaghan as part of their 5th Anniversary celebration. Following on from his recent challenging drive at the Wales Rally GB, where he finished 7th, the Finnish driver got behind the wheel of one of the new additions to the School’s fleet, the 2004 Subaru Impreza Turbo six speed rally car.
