Edited as ever by Roscrea-born Michael O’Carroll, this full colour 208 page publication is packed full of stories and comments featuring every county in Ireland, its competitors and events. It is, as in the past, the enthusiasts’ bible for opinion, profiles, trends and factual comment. Between photographers and journalists there are 43 well-known contributors.
“We have made every effort to cover all aspects of a vibrant and growing sport – from West Cork to Wicklow, from Donegal to Dingle and Clare to Carlingford. The Irish Motorsport Annual is unique in that it is the only publication in Ireland to combine two-wheels and four – cars and motorcycles – as well as karting, where competitors start as young as eight years of age,” says O’Carroll.
“Apart from the diverse editorial matter, the Irish Motorsport Annual 2005 has over 400 quality photographs from the best ‘motorsport snappers’ in Ireland, as well as championship results, calendars and a special competition. Where Irish men and women compete or work in motorsport, we try to be with them.”
With writers such as Michael Lyster (RTE), Vincent Hogan (Irish Independent), Sammy Hamill (Belfast Telegraph), Martin Walsh (Irish Examiner), Tim Whittington (Motorsport News), Declan Quigley (Irish Independent), Alan Tyndall (RPM), John Kenny (RTE Radio), Andrew Murphy (Evening Herald), Mark Hamilton (Irish Bike), Russell Murphy, Andrew Bushe and many more, this edition of the all-Irish produced Annual is chock-full of interesting and informative editorial content making it a must for all motorsport enthusiasts.
