Saturday 22nd May sees the largest entry of cars ever; assemble in Maghera to compete on the 2004 KBB Doors Tour of The Sperrins Rally. The event starts from Walsh's Hotel at 10am for 12 stages in the Sperrin mountains.

The first round of the Northern Ireland Rally Championship was kicked off yesterday morning with last years winner and current champion Denis Biggerstaff. He suffered with some engine problems on that first stage and dropped 20 seconds to the others. Owen Lamont was also disappointed as although he was 2nd quickest over the first stage, he felt that he should have capitalised more on those who either hadn't woke up yet or suffered problems.

Magherafelt and District Motor Club has announced the cancellation of the 2001 MTC Communications Tour of The Sperrins Rally. The event, round four of the NI Rally Championship, was due to take place on Saturday 19th May.
