FORD IRELAND POSTPONE THE OPENING ROUND OF THE 2002 FORD IRELAND FOCUS RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP.
by Tom Collins

Ford Ireland has taken the difficult decision to postpone the opening round of the 2002 Ford Ireland Focus Rally Championship.

The 2002 Ford Ireland Focus Rally Championship, will not start as originally planned with the 2002 Shell Donegal International Rally. The decision was taken to postpone the opening round as all the cars are not yet ready and there is insufficient time available to test the cars comprehensively before the opening round. The Championship will now commence with the Stonethrowers Rally in August and another date will be added to the 2002 Ford Ireland Focus Rally Championship calendar.
