A classic run will take place on Saturday the 4th December from the Brooklane Hotel Kenmare and it will follow an interesting route which involves some of the old Circuit if Ireland and Rally of the Lakes stages.
This is a fun run similar to that run last year as part of the Mini 50 celebrations.
It is open to all motor enthusiasts and no competition license is necessary and the only requirement is that cars are insured and that the driver holds a road license.
The clubs that have signified an interest so far are the Total Opel club the Escort group and the mini clubs.
The route involves Ballaghbeama, Caragh Lake, The Devils Elbow, Shanera and then a visit to Kate Kearneys Cottage. We will then proceed to The gap of Dunloe, the Black Valley and Molls Gap. In the afternoon the group will travel over The Priests Leap and then on to Glengarriff and home to Kenmare.
Each competitor will be given a comprehensive road book with accurate mileage/kilometres.
Last year a total of 55 cars took part and it is hoped to equal that figure again.
