FIA Class J2 (Group A and N cars built prior to 1990)

"We've had a few UK, German and Italian inquiries from competitors who would like to take part in the Barbados Historic Rally Carnival in FIA Class J2 for Group A and N cars built prior to 1990.
We're quite sure our fans would love to see BMW M3s, Lancia Delta Integrales, Sierra Cosworths and other iconic rally cars from this period tearing up our stages so we've decided to add J2 to our event regulations for class position only: J2 cars will not compete for overall results.
We do not require FIA HTPs for any cars, any National Historic Certificate is acceptable.
BIG CHANGES FOR 2017 BARBADOS HISTORIC RALLY CARNIVAL.

In 2017, the Barbados Rally Carnival will be 'Sweet Sixteen' years old.
We've had some legendary fun over the years but we've outgrown some aspects of the way the event has been organised; so we've decided to freshen things up a bit.
DATE: When we started the Rally Carnival, many of our guests traveled on holiday with school-age children, so we chose dates during school holidays. Unfortunately, most of us aren't as young as we think we are and summer Rally Carnival dates clash with a host of wonderful European historic rallies. Our weather is much the same year-round so we've decided to move the Barbados Historic Rally Carnival into late November.
TIME AWAY: The Barbados Rally Carnival was created to be a wild, two-week, tropical holiday with a bit of rallysprinting and rallying thrown in for some extra excitement. Many of our guests can't spend that much time away from work so we've decided to concentrate the serious motorsport around a one-week schedule. For those who have the time, we'll be running a RallySprint on the previous weekend and you are most welcome to attend, your car will be here anyway.
PACKAGE: Group travel and accommodation are what really kicked off the Barbados Rally Carnival social legend way back in 2001 but most of our guests are repeat visitors and have long-since found their way around the island and fallen in love with various places to stay. Modern last-minute internet deals on tickets and hotel rooms also make it very difficult to offer packages in advance while staying competitive on price. We've therefore removed the airline ticket and hotel costs from the entry package.
TEAM DEALS: Many of you have been here many times before and many rally service teams know their way around Barbados better than locals. Logistically it makes sense to help teams help themselves and their customers by offering team discounts for groups of three or more crews. Dan Sutherland at Dansport, Francis Tuthill at Tuthill Porsche and Mark Smyth at MS Motorsport can make your rally holiday stress-free.

We look forward to seeing you all again in 2017 and can once more guarantee a legendary and unique rally holiday on our famous little tropical island!
