The 2009 Autotest weekend on the 24th and 25th of January will kick off the Carrick on Suir Motor Club Season. The Event will also be the opening two rounds of the 2009 Autotest Championship. Clerk of the Course for the Event will be Eamon Murphy. Eamon takes over the reins from his father Michael who clerked the event for over twenty years. This will also be first event organized by the Carrick Club since the passing just before Christmas of our fellow club member Tony Cullen.

It is very fitting that the January Autotest is our next event as Tony worked for many year's as asstantent clerk of the course with his good friend and Comrade Michael Murphy.Michael had these kind words to say about the work Tony carried out over many year's. "Just before Christmas we laid to rest in Slieverue cemetery a true friend, colleague and a fellow clubman.All competitors in our Test Trials over many year's would have known Tony Cullen as a conscientious club official,who believed in setting high standards in all his undertakings.His service to the club goes back many year's.To his wife Olive and his family we extend our sincere condolence.Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam".

The 2009 Event will be held on the grounds of the IDA Industrial Estate Waterford City. Sign on for both Saturday and Sunday will be in Keltech Engineering.Sign on for Saturday will be at 10.30am with Sign on for Sunday at 10am.Prize giving on Saturday will be in the Woodlands Hotel,Dunmore Road,Waterford.Prize giving on Sunday will take place in Keltech Engineering.

The Woodlands Hotel are offering special rates for competitors.
