The Garahy Family Birr Stages Rally 2024 – Press Release 2

- We are pleased to announce that our Rally Regulations and Entries are now open, links below.

The Birr Stages Rally is eagerly awaited by competitors and spectators alike. We are delighted to have on board as title sponsors, The Garahy Family – Garahy’s Garage, T.J. Garahy Ltd. and Garahy Tractors.

Our Rally is a counting round of the Triton Showers National, Top Part West Coast, Hugo Loonam Motors Midlands East and Sligo Pallets Border Rally Championships.

Our Rally Organisers have kept our competitors to the forefront – centralised services and a compact route. Our Rally HQ is again based at Garahy’s Garage, where we will have our Rally Office, Scrutiny & Parc Ferme and a short distance from Rally HQ is the Trailer Park at Garahy Tractors. Our Service Area will be at J. Grennan & Sons at Rath, by the kind permission of the Grennan Family.

Clerk of the Course, Eoin Longworth has set three challenging stages on a compact route being run three times, making for a straightforward recce for the competitors. The first stage is Lisduff just south of Kilcormac, followed by Glendine near Kinnitty and finally we have Moll Joy’s Hill, near Camross. Each stage has its own traits and terrain to test the crews. On board as our stage sponsors, we have Paul O’Brien of Sola Energy Solutions, Eoghan Fogarty of R.A.E. Autofactors, Doolans Service Station - Kilcormac and Kelly Tyre Service – Kilcormac. After a recent change to the number of permitted entries, there will be a maximum of 165 cars.
