Clare Motor Club were lucky enough to be able to run their autocross in October 2020 just before lockdown. Now the Directors and Committee of Clare Motor Club are delighted to announce that the Club are actively applying the finishing touches to their up-and-coming Autocross which takes place once again in the ever popular track in Ballycumber. This will be the first of their three autocrosses which are planned for 2021. The dates for the three autocrosses are August 22nd, September 19th and October 17th, all subject to Government restrictions at the time and ran under Government guidelines.

Each event will be held on 3 different versions of the tracks in Ballycumber. There will be a practice lap followed by 3 timed runs consisting of 3 laps each.

Club Member Gerry O’Brien will be Clerk of the Course for the first event. Fellow member Tomas McGarry will Clerk the second event on September 19th. The Club will finalise the C.O.C for the 3rd event in due course. Regular Autocross Competitor and Club Member Eoghain McMahon, MD of EMC Autos, Quin Road, Ennis, has kindly come on board to sponsor all three Autocross events. Directors of the Club would like to thank Eoghain most sincerely for this kind gesture. We are all looking forward to the Autocross events which are getting motorsport back up and running. Autocross is a great way of introducing young people to the sport.

Due to current Government guidelines, entries will be limited to a maximum of 65.

Regs and entry forms will be available on Shannonsportsit.ie in the next couple of days.
