Connacht Motor Club Classic Veteran & Vintage Run - 23 Aug 20 - POSTPONED

Event Postponed for second time.

Unfortunately following the new guidelines announced this evening regarding the reduction of gatherings from 200 to 15, we felt the only responsible thing to do was to cancel our Classic, Veteran and Vintage Run for the second time.

While we are disappointed we understand the current rise in Covid 19 cases is concerning and demands the responsibility of everyone to play their part.

We would like to sincerely thank those who had submitted an entry, over 60 in total and the venues who were accommodating us along the route.

We would be adamant of holding the event at some date to be decided in 2021.

Go Fund Me Page launched

In conjunction with the forthcoming Classic , Veteran and Vintage run , we have launched a Go Fund Me page seeking further donations to go to our designated charity MS North West Therapy Centre

In a normal year , as part of our promotion of our Sligo Stages Rally , we would attract large crowds of spectators to the locality , and while viewing the rally they are overwhelmed by the natural beauty and scenery of Sligo and its surrounds.

Its with this in mind we have decided in conjunction with our event on August 23rd to encourage those doing the event , those from the area , people visiting the area or indeed expats , to share local favourite scenic photographs on our Connacht Motor Club Facebook page and donate on the Go Fund me Page , Classic Shots in aid of MS .

The counties of Sligo and Leitrim contains endless exceptional scenic drives , many mountainous , with backdrops that extend for miles capturing further landmarks in the distance horizon.

The Go Fund Me will open immediately and will remain open after the Classic run. Adjudication of the photographs will be carried out by professional photographer with the successful winning donor receiving a dinner for two sponsored by Sligo Park Hotel.
