Unfortunately, due to the Government of Jersey statement which have just been announced, that we are remaining at Level 2 of the Covid-19 restrictions, the Jersey Rally will be unable to take place as the maximum number of people allowed at any one event is well below the number required to run the Jersey Rally.
As approximately half of the competing crews are from off island, we cannot wait any longer to make a decision otherwise they will be incurring expenses that they cannot reclaim.
Jersey Rally would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank the Island’s Constables who have worked with us over road closures throughout this difficult period. Furthermore, we would like to thank Condor and the Merton Hotel for being so accommodating.
Like so many other sports a huge amount of work has been expended in trying to stage the Jersey Rally, in what would have been the JMC & LCC’s Centenary year celebrations.
All local motorsport fans can be assured that Centenary + 1 will be held in 2021, and we wish the Government of Jersey every success in defeating this virus.
