The Imokilly Motor Club are pleased to announce Ollie Kierce Car Sales is back on board as sponsor of the Imokilly Mini Stages Rally 2019 to be held on the 21th of July. Ollie Kierce Car Sales Carrigtwohill has come on board as main sponsor of the event and this is year two for Ollie of a three year deal. The event will once again be run out of Midleton with Rally HQ (The Midleton Park Hotel), Parc Ferme and Service all in the one location.
This year the club will use the familiar format of 2 stages run 3 times with service after stages 2 and 4.
This year long time club member Pat Maguire comes in as Clerk Of The Course, he is ably assisted by Deputy Clerk Tony O Driscoll.
Speaking with event main sponsor Ollie Kierce of Ollie Kierce Car Sales Carrigtwohill, he said as a former competitor and lifelong fan of rallying I am delighted to be associated with both the rally and the Imokilly Motor Club. Last year the club ran a great rally and the great name of the rally extends the length and breadth of the country. It’s great to be associated with such a hard working club and I am sure this year’s event will be another success for the club.
Clerk Of The Course for the event Pat Maguire said it’s great to have a former competitor like Ollie Kierce of Ollie Kierce Cars Carrigtwohill on board as our main sponsor , Ollie understands our sport and the effort it takes to get an event over the finish line.
Pat said without sponsorship events simply would not run and it takes a huge effort from the club to run this event every year in terms of finance and man power, Pat said help is always needed on the ground before and during the event and if anyone would like to help with the running of the rally get in touch with any club member. Pat also said the event is known as a very competitor friendly event and that is something that is top of my agenda.
The event is a huge cash boost to Midleton and the local environs with around 100 cars expected to start, then factor in service crews families of the competitors and spectators, last year there was not a bed to be had in the Midleton area. This year the club are hopeful of much the same.
