Radical Moves in the Munster Autocross Championship for 2018

For the first time the Munster Autocross Championship will run as two separate but parallel championships. For 2018 there will be Munster Autocross Saloon Championhip and a Munster Autocross Buggie Championship. Both competitions series will be run on the same track on the same day. Heretofore the buggies reigned suprewe with their greater accelaration and agility, as a result the saloon drivers had no chance of lifting an overall award.

The 11 round Munster Autocross Championship 2018 series kicks off as usual with Skibbereen (25th Feb) and it will be followed by a brace of races hosted by the Clare MC on March 15th April and May 2th..
It is back to county Cork for the next few races with Munster CC on May 27th, Imokilly June 10th and the second Skib event race on July 8th.
Killarney MC will host the first grass autocross on Aug 19th followed as usual by Imokilly grass event Oct 14th
Definitely the business end of the championship now, but there is a trio of gravel events with Birr Nov 18th, Limerick Dec 9th and finally Cork MC on Dec 27th.

If all eleven are held-the results will be calculated from the best 9, and if ten races are run it will be eight.
