Motorsport Ireland Autocross Committee is delighted to announce preliminary details of the 2018 National Grass Autocross Championship. Hyundai Limerick Motor Centre has come on board as the main sponsor of this year’s Championship. This popular Championship is this year starting its 50th year on the road and during that time has attracted competitors from all over Ireland.
This year’s Championship will be known as the 2018 Hyundai Limerick Motor Centre
National Grass Autocross Championship. The Championship will consist of up to 8 rounds, with the first round being hosted by Birr and District Motor Club on April 8th. Championship rounds also take place in Dublin, Carrick on Suir, Galway, Clare, Westmeath, Tipperary, and Cork.
Dealer Principal For Hyundai Limerick Motor Centre, Martin O’Mara, said that he is delighted to be given the opportunity to sponsor this Championship and have Hyundai Limerick Motor Centre’s name and logo on a Championship which travels around the Country. Martin recognises that this discipline of Motorsport forms the grass roots of Motorsport and caters for young people from the age of 14.
Hyundai Limerick Motor Centre has a long association with Motorsport in the Midwest of the Country, having sponsored stages in the Clare Stages Rally and Circuit of Munster Rally for many years. Hyundai Limerick Motor Centre was Title Sponsor for the 2016 Clare Stages Rally.
Hyundai Limerick Motor Centre is Ireland’s longest serving Hyundai dealership and is based on Limerick’s Ballysimon Road. It is the main dealer for Hyundai cars in Limerick City and County since 1989. Hyundai Limerick Motor Centre is also the local dealer for Hyundai cars in Clare since 2010 and North Tipperary since 2013. The dealership gives full time employment to 23 people at their site on the Ballysimon Road in Limerick.
