Please note that all drivers on the ALMC Endurance Trial MUST be on the IRDS/BRDS Insurance database by next Thursday. If you are not on the database, you cannot start the event - no exceptions.

From the ALMC Facebook Page:
"For the price of a small car, a set of three point belts, a competition licence and an entry fee, you could be on the start line for the ALMC Endurance Trial on February 18th!
The Car: The cars are standard production cars under 1400cc. There is also an under 1000cc class. Most other cars run in the navigation class (including Night Nav spec cars)
Safety: all you need to add is safety harnesses, these can be sourced from a Motorsport supplier at a reasonable cost (about Eur 40 each). You could also look for out-of-homologation belts from a rally car (they must change safety belts every few years)
Licence: you can apply for a first-time licence form Motorsport Ireland for as little as Eur 40. You don't need a full medical if you are only competing on Endurance events.
Entry Fee: Entry for the ALMC Endurance Trial is Eur 200, including insurance (please see regulations on ALMC website for full details)
Insurance: You don't require "normal" road insurance on your Endurance car if you are bringing it to/from the event on a trailer. You MUST be registered for the IRDS/BRDS insurance with Motorsport Ireland - this only costs a few Euro as it is a group scheme. IRDS/BRDS gives you the cover legally required to travel on a road section while you are on an event. It expires as soon as you finish or retire from the event. If you don't register for IRDS/BRDS you won't be allowed start the Endurance Trial. "
