Prizes Galore at ALMC Poker Run this Sunday!

ALMC Motor Club are hosting a Poker Run in Trim this Sunday, November 13th with registration open from midday at the Castle Arch Hotel, Trim. The event is open to both ALMC Members and Non-Members with registration costing Eur25. ALMC will make a donation to charity from each entry.

Setting out from the Castle Arch Hotel at 2pm, participants will traverse a 60km route around the Trim area to a number of locations. At each location, the participant may be asked to undertake a mini-challenge before being presented with a randomly-selected playing card. Each location must be visited once until the player collects a hand of five cards - the best five hands will win a cash prize.

This is a new and novel type of event and is ideal for a group of friends, a vintage car club, cycling clubs or families who want to go for a Sunday spin with a difference in the Boyne Valley. The route can be completed by car, motorbike or by bicycle (cyclists will be granted an earlier start time to facilitate completing the route before nightfall) and all hands must be presented at the Castle Arch Hotel by 5pm. Players are permitted to buy multiple hands and/or multiple hands can travel together in the same vehicle.

The prize fund is Eur1,000 and there will also be a number of spot prizes distributed on the day. The cash prizes will be allocated as follows: 1st Prize: Eur500, 2nd: Eur250, 3rd: Eur100, 4th & 5th: Eur75 each. Prizes will be presented in the Castle Arch Hotel at 6pm.
