Last year’s rally winner, Damian Toner in his 2.5 litre MK2 Escort with navigator Denver Rafferty is set to headline the quality entry list of over 60 cars, received by North Armagh Motor Club Ltd for this weekend’s Rainbow Communications Loughgall Country Park Rally.
Indeed the list includes a number of former winners of this highly popular two wheel drive Clubman event, now in its 18th year, amongst which are Crumlin’s Keith White, MK1 Escort and David Armstrong from Banbridge in his MK2 example.
First timers to Loughgall include Belfast man Fintan McGrady, Escort MK2 and Saintfield’s Drew Wylie, historic spec. Escort MK2.
Organisers North Armagh Motor Club Ltd are most grateful to Armagh City Banbridge & Craigavon Borough Council for their generous support and also along with them, DARD and AFBI government departments for the use of the splendid Loughgall Country Park, the perfect venue for this event.
Rally action begins at 9.30am and will include six Special Stages using 100% tarmac roads and will conclude at 5.00pm.
Admission to the event for adults is £10 including programme and accompanied children under the age of 16 are admitted free. Spectators can also enjoy the Orchard Motorsport Historic and Classic car display adjacent to the paddock area.
