Event Cancellation email to competitors on the 5 th June 2014

Dear competitor,

It is with regret that I have to inform you that the Bill Gwynne Rally School Coracle Stages at Sweet Lamb scheduled for June 15th has been cancelled. With print deadlines looming, the difficult decision was made with only 25 confirmed entries received.

Whilst the clubs were prepared to shoulder a significant loss, a decision was made to set a minimum of 35 entries - even though the break even number was probably 45 to 50. It was felt that below this number would make it a rather hollow event and the decision was made to cancel before further significant losses were incurred.

In accordance with the regulations, you will not loose any of the entry fee - no cheques received have been banked and they will be shredded tomorrow even ing unless I hear from you to the contrary. All abortive costs incurred by the event will be carried by the organising clubs.

We thank you most sincerely for the support you have shown to the event and naturally apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
