The 2014 Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship is really beginning to hot up after Meirion Evans became the latest big name to commit to the series.
Meirion is the only man to win the prestigious Welsh Road Rallying Championship three years in a row, taking the title in 2011,12 and 13.
“We’re very pleased to be involved with the BHRC for 2014.” Said Meirion. “I'm intending doing the Championship in a D5 Mk2. I build historic’s so it made sense to try something different, our experience on gravel is very limited but we’re really looking forward to this challenge.”
Championship Secretary John Hunt said,
“It’s a brilliant endorsement for our championship to have someone like Meirion, a three time Welsh Road Rally Champion, come onboard. We’re really beginning to put together a high quality field of crews for 2014 and it promises to be one of the most competitive years ever”

The 2014 Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship are delighted to confirm the return of Special Stage Rally Review as their 2014 TV providers.
Last year saw the team of Olly, Wayne, Phill, Brid, Luke, Simon and more take on all the rounds of the championship, bringing exciting and interesting coverage into people’s living rooms on Motors TV.
Special Stage producer Wayne Goldring said.
“We are delighted to be returning as part of the BHRC team for 2014. For us, the British Historic Championship compliments everything else we cover for our Special Stage series, and offers our viewers a show dedicated to genuine and varied historic rallying, something which they cannot get anywhere else.”
“For us the championship proved itself in 2013 when 5 crews went into the final round with a chance of victory, which makes our job rewarding, knowing that we can still bring exiting coverage to our viewers right up to the very last show of the season. We go into 2014 with the same enthusiastic team, keen to keep building on that profile, and to bring in some new ideas to keep things fresh and relevant to today’s viewers.” Said Goldring.
Championship Secretary John Hunt said
“We’re delighted to have Special Stage back onboard for 2014. We believe that they provide the highest quality of Motorsports TV coverage available, with a young exciting and passionate presenting team, and a quality end product in their excellent shows.”
The 2014 Mintex BHRC is the only National Historic Championship to offer its competitors the chance to prove themselves on Gravel and Asphalt.
