Dromtariffe to get the 1000 Shakes in January 2014

Cork Motor Club's first motorsport competition of 2014, the 1000 Shakes Navigation Trial, takes place on Saturday night & Sunday morning, January 18 & 19, and will be based at Dromtariffe Community Hall, Co. Cork.

The event will be a counting round of the National Navigation Trial Championship; Munster Navigation Trial Championship and Cork Motor Club's own club championship.

The route will be approximately 85 miles in length and maps to be used will be OSI Discovery Series, Sheet No. 79 & 80 (3rd Ed). The entire route will be issued prior to the start, save for details of up to 6 locations that may be issued to competitors at a later time.

Check-in will be from 19.30 hours on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Dromtariffe Community Hall (Ref 974.5 329.5) and the first car starts from here at 23.01. Refreshments will be available at the venue and petrol will be available near the venue before the event.

Awards will include 1st overall, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in class, Best CMC Crew, Best SDCC Crew, Best Crew from any club organising a Munster Championship Round. Classes will be for Expert, Semi–Expert, Novice and Beginner.

Entries close on Wednesday, January 15, for a fee of €120 (which includes competitor’s personal accident insurance and IRDS at 2014 standard rate).
All competitors must have a valid 2014 Competition Licence and all drivers a 2014 IRDS letter of acceptance. Maximum number of starters will be 50.
