On Sunday 28th of April the Club held their very first multi venue Autotest in the clubs history which went very well. This event brought the elite of competitors of this skilled Motorsport discipline to Longford from East West North and South of Ireland to take part in this event. The Autotest was also the fourth round of the Clubs Championship. On what a great day with no rain to be seen it looked like the event was starting on a good note. The test were set up by Micheal Reilly and his team there were 18 to 20 test some to bring a challenge to even the top drivers in Ireland also the routes consisted of 65% of the tests will be on gravel, Some half concrete/gravel,
2 Full concrete tests.
The first car was away at approx 10am. The loop was 40Km done twice with routes will be only 15km from Longford which will be driver friendly and economy. At the halfway mark, three drivers were very close all within a few seconds of one another Eddie Petterson was 1st, Eamonn Byrne was 2nd, David Tompson was 3rd and the local lads at the half way mark were going well Sam Johnston 4th, Colin Duffy 5th, Enda McLoughlin 6th, Nigel McCloughry 7th, Alan Gibbons 13th, Michael Lenehan 14th, Seamus McTigue 20th, Joe Lenehan 23rd and Cillian Lenehan 26th. Then it was off to the test in Ballinalee and Drumhlish and at the end the results were added up and the winners were 1st overall Petterson, Eamonn Byrne was 2nd, David Tompson was 3rd.
In the classes the result went well for the locals winners of class 1, 1st Sam Johnston, 2nd Johnaton Bradshaw and 3rd Sean O Toole then to class 2, 1st Eamonn Byrne,2nd David Thompson and 3rd Colin Duffy. The beginners class 1st Nigel McCoulghry, 2nd Paul Farran and 3rd Peter Geraghty and then to midland motor clubmembers prizes 1st was Enda McLoughlin,2nd Alan Gibbons and 3rd Michael Lenehan. There were some great results for the local lads so well done to them and all the winners. Michael Reilly would like to thank everyone from the food and the end of the event to the marshals out at the test to the people that gave up the use of their premises and that were on his team that helped him out and also the club would like to thank Michael and his team for a very run event and hope to see more of them in the near future and Also a congratulations to Michael Lenehan great to see him back in motorsport environment after his absence hope to see him out in more events in the years to come.
. Midland Motor Club covers counties Roscommon Leitrim, Longford, Westmeath & Offaly. The Club run Navigation Trials, Autotest Trials,Multi Venue Autotest, Autocross and Stage Rally events throughout the year. Membership is €15 per person and €5 for each additional family member to join. Membership numbers were close to 150 members in 2012. Club Meetings are held the second Monday of every month and new members are always welcome.

Midland Motor Club has a new date confirmed for our Multi Venue Autotest, Sunday 28th April (previously April 21st on Calendar).
The Club are awaiting Regulation approval from Motorsport Ireland.
Once approved, HQ for this event is Johnston Farm Equipment, Athlone Road, Longford. GPS N53 42 43 W7 49 06
18 to 20 Tests,
The tests will be designed to suit everyone and of a open nature.
All test will be within 15Km of Longford town,
65% of the tests will be on gravel,
Some half concrete/gravel,
2 Full concrete tests,
The loop is 40Km done twice.
