Sunday 7th April will see the leading Autotest drivers do battle on the now annual ALMC Motor Club ‘Bunny Run’ Multi Venue Autotest. The events tests will be spread through the Boyne Valley area with the organisers arranging a variety of challenging tests to suit all driving styles, with test sites located near the event headquarters at Donegan’s Monasterboice Inn, Drogheda. The event kicks off with sign on from 9.00am followed by drivers briefing at 10.30am and the first of the tests starting at 11.00am. The event has been put together by Martin Devine and his team and promises to be a great day’s autotesting following on from the success of the event last year. “What better way to spend a Sunday, the tests are a good mix of challenges to test competitors driving techniques with a few added surprises along the route. There are some really cracking tests which should make for a great days enjoyment for all involved” commented Martin at the launch of the event regulations.
The event which last year ran on Easter Sunday has moved back one week to Sunday 7th April to facility competitors who were keen to attend but were unable to do so over the Easter weekend due to other motorsport commitments. The event will be run in accordance to the International Sporting Code of the FIA and the general rules of Motorsport Ireland and will feature four classes, front wheel drive cars up to 1300cc, class 2 is for front wheel drive cars over 1300cc with classes 3 and 4 for rear wheel drive cars under and over 1600cc. Entries for the event are now open with full regulations available on the ALMC Motor Club website almc.ie or via the club Facebook page. The event promises to be a great day out for drivers and all involved, completed entries should be sent to the entries Secretary with the entry restricted to eighty cars.
