With plans at a advanced stage This years Westlodge Hotel & Pondlodge Cottages Fastnet Rally is shaping up to be something very special indeed with entries being received steadily.
Ger Hayes C.O.C for this years event along with some influential club members have also concluded a deal for a full one Hour programme of the event to be shown on RTE 2.
Ger hopes that this very special feature of this years event will help in attracting even more entries as he said that the coverage for one hour on one of this countries premier T.V stations should help competitors get the maximum coverage for there sponsors.
As has already been said in statements made earlier the Bantry Business Association and particularly fund raising efforts have brought all these things to fruition.
The Westlodge Hotel and Pondlodge Cottages have had a really steady stream of bookings for there accomadation also and would urge anybody seeking a bed to contact them as rooms are selling well for the weekend also patrons of the hotel and self catering cottages have full use of the Magnificent Leisure centre and swimming pool attached to the hotel.
Also the C.O.C said that the Ceremonial Start In the Centre of Bantry will again take place at 7.30p.m on the Saturday Evening 27th and after last Years success of this we would urge old and young to come down and show there support.
On Sunday the 28th there will be a Big Screen in the largely expanded service area in Bantry Town Centre which will also ad to the Carnival Atmosphere that this event creates.
