Follow N18 heading East, take the first exit off dual-carriageway after Cratloe, Exit 4. The event will be arrowed from this point.

From Cork/Kerry:
Join the M20 and proceed to follow the N18 (Limerick South Ring Road) heading West. Go under Limerick tunnel and take the first exit, Exit 3 (Caherdavin). The event will be arrowed from this point.

From Dublin/Midlands:
Join the N18 (Limerick South Ring Road) from the M7 heading West. Go under Limerick tunnel and take the first exit, Exit 3 (Caherdavin). The event will be arrowed from this point.

Plans are well underway for the 2012 Clare Motor Club Autocross which is round 4 of the munster Autocross championship, round 5 of Clare Motorclubs club championship and also a round of Birr Motorclubs club championship.

After a six year break, Clerk of the course Gerry O'Brien is thrilled to announce that this event is back in Bobby O'Connell’s quarry in Ardnacrusha and the organising team are extremely thankful for the permission, support, help and co-operation from the management and staff of the quarry. Since the word came out that Clare motor club have returned to this venue, the interest from people willing to take part is very exciting and one of the biggest entries of the year on the Autocross circuit is expected.

This event is taking place on Sunday July 15th with scrutiny taking place from 10am sharp. Each lap will be approx 1.5km and 90% of the course is in place. For anybody interested in taking part and wondering about the make up of the course it is extremely smooth and won't cut up and easy on cars.

Regulations / Details

Round 4 of the 2012 Munster Autocross Championship takes place on the 15th July at O'Connell Quarries near Ardnacrusha, Co.Clare.

Clerk of the course Gerry O'Brien has worked hard with his team to secure the venue and to provide a challenging course. Preparations are well under way and Entry forms and regulations will be available shortly.

Entry fee is Eur 90 and there is a reduced fee of ?50 for juniors.

The surface is a very solid and hard compacted gravel with a light blinding of dust. We feel the surface is suitable for ALL cars. Please check further photos on our Facebook page showing the quality of surface.
