Following on from a very successful opening round of the 2012 series in early April , which saw local driver David Leonard in the Saxo take overall on the day , ahead of Torsten Schmidt in second and reigning championship title holder Stephen Lipsett in third, round 2 is scheduled for May 6th.
The second round which slots nicely into the May Bank holiday weekend is the last opportunity of competitors to be eligible of automatic registration for valuable championship points in the remaining series.
With a provision for a total of 10 classes both at each round and within the championship , and individual awards for both ladies and junior drivers , every competitor is within reach of lifting crystal .
The inclusion of a junior class is an effort of the club to encourage younger drivers to gain valuable competitive experience relatively cheaply in a safe
environment .
Also with competitors results being based on the best two out of three competitive times allows for an individual to have one unfortunate bad run on the day .
The track is consistent with past events ,clean an flowing, and the availability of a clean compact paddock area is an added attraction.
Regulations for both Championship ,and Round 2 which takes place on May 6th, are available for download at the club website and competitors are advised that entries are limited to a maximum of seventy.
