As part of our continued support towards competitors, the SIRC have set up
a poll on their website.
The poll is asking competitors what they feel the major issue's affecting them in rallying today are. The results of this poll
the SIRC feel will help towards the continued development of the sport going
forward. The Society of Irish Rally Competitors urge all competitors to take part in this as this is a medium for
letting your voice be heard.

Official recognition has been sought from Motorsport Ireland for a new competitors group that hope to be the voice of rally competitors in Ireland. A number of competitors concerned with the lack of representation have come together to form the “Society of Irish Rally Competitors”.
Over 2500 licences were issued in 2010 to rally competitors in Ireland. The group plans to create a democratically elected group to represent these licence holders. They plan to invite people from all over Ireland from all disciplines of rallying to get involved in the setting up and running of the new group.
Joe Hunter one of the founders said
“The application has been sent to the MSI Rallies Committee for approval and the rallies committee is chaired by a fellow competitor, organiser and sponsor along with other competitors and former competitors who hopefully should see the benefit of having a very active and proactive competitors group that it can work hand in hand with on issues that affect motorsport in Ireland.”
