Rounds 7 & 8 - 2010 Hillclimb and Sprint Championship

At a Directors Meeting held on Mon 28th of June it was decided to cancel the clubs two day Dungarvan Hillclimb event on 3rd and 4th of July.
It is with deep regret to the CoC that this decision had to be made which was due to the lack of entries so close to the event.
The CoC would like to appologise to the few who have entered and would also like to thank Paul O'Connell from the Hillclimb committee for all his help and Denis Hogan from Irishhillimb.com.
She would also like to thank Seanie Duggan and all her team who have help out in all the preparations for next weekend.
Running an event like this required work to start 6 months in advance orgainising road closures sponsors and safety etc, so she would like to thank all who have helped out is some way and hopefully this will not be the end of the clubs annual two day event for the future.

The Tipperary motorclub Hillclimb event sponsored by the Marine Bar Pulla, which takes place on the 3rd and 4th of July 2010 will have regs out next week.
The event which is Round 7 and 8 of the Connaught Competition Engines Irish Hillclimb and Sprint Championship, will take place again this year at the very popular "Sweep" Dungarvan which is the old Cork Road.
This piece of tar is a classic hillclimb road because not only has it a good change in altitude from start to finish but it is very smooth and there are two very challenging hairpins to negotiate and also spectate at.
At this event you will see an amazing selection of cars, everything from Single seaters (Lant, Formula Opel Lotus, Judd powered Pilbeam, OMS to name a few) to 300Bhp MKII Ford Escorts, Darrians to beautiful Starlets, Minis, Novas and historic Rally cars will be there.
This is an excellent opportunity to get the car out of the garage for relatively small money for a good competitive weekend.
