PSM Motorsport Ltd have today confirmed that Mallory Park in Leicestershire will host the opening round of the 2010 Fuchs Lubricants Rallycross Open Championship on Sunday March 28th. Mallory Park will be one of at least three new venues hosting rounds of the 2010 Championship which visits all four corners (England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales) of the UK for the first time in a season.
"2010 is going to be a fantastic season, with at least three new circuits on the Championship calendar. Mallory Park is the perfect venue to start the season for everyone, with its location being in the centre of the country. I want the title back and I can’t wait for the new season to get underway - the Championship is going to be bigger, stronger and tougher than ever before." added 2007 and 2008 Rallycross Open Champion 'Mad Mark'.
Nutts Corner (County Antrim) in Northern Ireland will stage the second and third rounds of the Championship on April 24th & 25th, before moving to Pembrey (Carmarthenshire) in Wales for round four and five on May 22nd & May 23rd. PSM Motorsport Ltd confirmed last month that the seventh round of the Championship will visit Knockhill (Fife) in Scotland on Sunday August 8th.
The remaining two venues in the 2010 Championship will be announced at Autosport Show 2010, including the identity of the new home for the 2010 Fuchs Lubricants Rallycross Superprix.
