The Killarney & District Motor Club ran their May Autocross on the 24/5/'09 at Mike
Cronins Pit, Killarney, Co-Kerry. The event was a counting round of the Munster and
Killarney Autocross Championships. COC for the event Pat Russell and his team put
together a very challenging route which brough praise from the competitors and
spectators alike. The FTD (Fastest time of the day) went to Daniel Cronin in his
Mazda Special with a time of 3:39:86. Jerry Lehane was the fastest saloon of the day
in his Subaru Impreza with a time of 3:43:74. Class 1 for 1400cc cars was won by
Denis O' Brien in a Vauxhall Nova with Conor Bradley 2nd and Ger Lynch 3rd. Coleman
Hurley won class 3 for 2litre cars in his Opel Astra. Fastest Special went to Jimmy
Lucey. The Junior category was won by Denis Nagle in a Honda Civic with David
Beamish 2nd in his Nova and Colin Nelligan 3rd in his Swift. Other Prize winners
included Harry Noonan (Special), ML. Walsh (Escort), ML. Sheedy (Escort), Anthony
Cronin (Corolla), Clement Lonergan (Civic).

The Killarney Autocross will be running on the 24th of May.
Venue: Cronins pit.
Racing starts at 12 noon.
The Event will be a counting round of the Jerry Murphy Tyres Munster Championship and the Darby O'Gills Killarney Championship.
