Preparations for the ‘Envirocare’ Lough Neagh rally time trial are now at an advanced stage, the clerk of the course Donna Speirs along with her deputy Pascal Doyle are happy with the course being set for the competitors this year.
The driver only time trial is set to challenge drivers who usually have a navigator on board to call notes of braking distances and approaching corners although it does give entrants the opportunity to dual enter (where the same rally car can be used by two competitors to complete the course in the fastest time)
The event is to be held in the Higgins family estate known as the Moneyglass demesne on the Roguery road just one mile from the bridge on the Toome by pass and is open to all classes of rally car. Entries for the time trail are filling up well with all the classes looking competitive.
Any competitor who has yet to send their entry in, they still have time, but don’t leave it too late. With the entry fee being a credit crunching value for money £80 per competitor a good value day out can be had for all entrants and spectator alike.
