Motorsport News Top 100 Motorsport Heroes

Back in 1999, Motorsport News compiled a list of the top 100 motorsport heroes of all time, as voted for by the readers.
Ten years on, we¹ve decided to do it again ­ and we want everyone to get involved.

To take part, just devise a list of up to ten heroes, rank them into order and send them to
mn.heroes@haymarket.com

The nominees have to be involved in four-wheeled motorsport, but that¹s the only criteria. They can come from any branch or any level of the sport. They don¹t even have to be the most successful drivers ever ­ they just have to be your heroes.

Incidentally, when we did the poll in 1999, Colin McRae was the top rally driver in fourth place ­ but he was one of just two rally drivers in the top ten. So this is your chance to help redress the balance this year.
