With just a few weeks to go the stage is set for one of the highlights of the french rally calendar,
the 49th Rallye Le Touquet – Pas de Calais. Promoted by T.A.C, this year’s rally is taking place
from october 2nd to the 4th. Counting round of various championships, including the French Tarmac
Rally Championship, the Euro Rally Challenge (which includes rallies in Belgium, Germany, Italy,
Denmark, Holland and France), the French and UK C2 R2 Citroen Racing Trophy and the Suzuki
Rally Cup, the event will see drivers from all over Europe taking part in the three day event. The
weekend will also feature the Historic Rally (for vehicle with FIA HVIF/PTH).

The 2009 rally will consist of 239 competitive kilometers of tarmac stage split in 20 SS circling the
centralised servicing in the wonderful seaside resort of Le Touquet. Teams will be permitted to
carry out a full recce (3 passes) of the route on saturday 26th/sunday 27th september or on
wednesday 30th september/ thursday 1st October.
Shakedown stage will take place from 6.00 pm until 11.00 pm on thursday 1st october offering a
final chance for crews to settle themselves in.
Scrutineering will take place from 8.30 am until 4.00 pm on friday 2nd october and first car will be
flagged off from the start-ramp at 7.00 pm for a spectator-friendly superspecial stage along the sea
front promenade. It will be followed by 19 special stages across the Opale Coast before the
winners should be spraying the champagne at around 2.00 pm on sunday.
The proximity of the Dover-Calais ferries line makes the rally easily reachable for those travelling
from UK and Ireland, So, if you haven’t any dates in your diary yet, put the 49th Rallye Le
Touquet – Pas de Calais in now for what promises to be the one to do if you’re looking for a very
attractive event !
Regulations are with ASN for approval and will be available to download from the new improved
club website shortly.
