To celebrate five years as the number one UK/Ireland rallysport monthly, Pacenotes has gone glossy!
Formerly a white paper tabloid, the success and popularity of the Mooney Media publication left publishing editor Simon Mooney in little doubt about what direction to take…
“We have been contemplating the move to glossy A4 for some months now, and having canvassed our advertisers and carried out a straw pole among readers, have decided to make the leap.”
But fans of the original format needn’t worry - all the classic Pacenotes features are still there, with some excellent new ones added.
The new look Pacenotes will now include an in depth, performance road car test each month, and, reflecting the growth in popularity of Historic rallying, more reports and profiles along with the return of Fergus McAnallen's 'Rally Retro'. Another new feature is ‘The Need For Speed’, which will focus on famous Irish rally personalities, dynasties and stories compiled by Limerickman Ray Gavin.
With top columnists like Welshman Nicky Grist and Ulsterman Andrew Bushe, the UK and Ireland’s definitive rallysport read is set to go from strength to strength.
“We hope to gain even more readers with our new format,” said publisher Simon Mooney. “The latest issue, with in depth reports on all major UK and Irish events, is available from all good newsagents now.”
