Marshal's Day is Go
With the IRCA’s 2008 Marshal’s Day closing fast upon us, driver’s enthusiasm for the event is growing with an even greater eagerness to give something back to those who offer such a huge amount to our rallying. This year’s event boasts many top drivers headed by newly crowned National Champion Aaron McHale. A list of the confirmed drivers will be published later.

Over 100 marshals will be treated to the thrills of rallying on the famous Mondello Track in a tribute to their contribution to our sport throughout the year. Every event has always had huge positive feedback from all involved, with the relaxed atmosphere and good spirits adding a very high social aspect to the day and this year we hope will prove no different.

All marshals should, were possible, bring along a helmet. The FCA time is now brought forward to 11.00 am to take advantage of the limited daylight so driver’s briefing will be 10.15.

This year the COC has included a test lap at 10.30 for anyone who wishes.

FCA - Class 1 (1300 to 1600 vehicles) - 11.00
1.00 - 1.30 Lunch
Guest runs 2.00pm
Track closes 4pm
Spectator access over footbridge from 9.00
Entry to the pit area is for rally and service vehicles only, all other access is by foot only.

There is no admission fee but we would urge all coming to make a donation to the Motorsport Benevolent Fund.

Details
The Irish Rally Competitors Association is pleased to announce the Marshals Pay back day has been scheduled to run on Sunday 13th January 2007. Now firmly established as a must do day for all, entries are expected to fill quickly so you are advised to post them in early.

As ever the purpose of this day is to provide an opportunity to pay thanks for the marshals who make our sport possible during the season and raise money for charity. This year all profits will go to The Motorsport Benevolent Fund, a worthy cause offering support to competitors who find themselves in financial need after a Motorsport accident.

Marshals will be allowed 3 passenger rides in 3 different classes of rally cars.

Competitors will then be given the opportunity to bring their own guests for passenger rides on the famous Mondello track. It promises, again, to be a day for all to remember.
