The Irish Motorsport Annual is the bible for motorsport enthusiasts throughout Ireland and beyond. It has been for over 30 years. It is unique in that it combines both car and motor cycle sports, as well as kart racing. It was the PPAI Annual of the Year in 2006, and the latest 2008 edition, published in early December, has comprehensive coverage of Rally Ireland, which came at the end of a fantastic year for the sport.

Now edited by competitor Andrew Bushe, the Irish Motorsport Annual ’08 is as comprehensive as ever with star writers such as Vincent Hogan, Sammy Hamill, Michael O’Carroll, Mark Hamilton, Michael Lyster and Declan Quigley all giving their views on what has been a landmark year for motorsport in Ireland.. “It is as forward-looking, critical, constructive and as comprehensive as before in how it deals with the various branches of the sport,” says editor Andrew Bushe. “But it is even more so this time because of the 26-page coverage of Rally Ireland – the first time a World Rally Championship round was staged in Ireland.”

There are 200 pages and over 300 photographs within the 2008 edition of the IMSA, which is available from December 4th in book stores and newsagents throughout the country, priced at €9.99 (£6.75). There are over 60 articles, profiles and features, some of which are opinionated, critical, constructive and equally stimulating for competitors and enthusiasts in all branches of the sport.

Should there be changes made to the lucrative Motorsport Ireland award schemes? What about the cheaters in the sport of rallying? Should we be more conscious of the atmosphere in relation to bio-fuels? What should happen to the Phoenix Park races, and is kart racing moving in the right direction? Just some of the questions raised in the current edition of the Irish Motorsport Annual!

Published by Ashville Media Ltd, the Irish Motorsport Annual 2008 is on sale from December 4th from all good agents
