IRCA Marshals Day @ Mondello - (Sat) 5 Nov 05

A list is enclosed of the confirmed drivers, if you are not on this list and intend going please call one of the numbers below today for confirmation.

Over 100 marshals will be treated to the thrills of rallying next weekend in a tribute to their contribution to our sport. All marshals should, were possible, bring along a helmet. The FCA time is now brought forward to 11.00 am to take advantage of the limited daylight so driver’s briefing will be 10.30.

With the IRCA’s 2005 Marshal’s Day closing fast upon us, driver’s enthusiasm for the event is growing with an even greater eagerness to give something back to those who offer such a huge amount to our rallying. This year’s event boasts many top drivers headed by PWRC champion Niall McShea, our newly crowned champions Ray Breen and Gareth McHale followed by former champions Nialll Maguire, Kenny McKinstry. Other names include Kevin Barrett, Adrian McElvaney, Aarron McHale, Pat Norris, Tom Holton, James Foley, Tommy Graham, Barry Coleman, Ian Barrett, Emily O’Mahony, Fergal Allen, to name but a few, a full list will be provided next week.

The day will start with scrutiny from 9.00am, driver’s briefing 11.00 am and FCA at 11.30 am.

Places are still available for class 2, modified cars, if any of you wish to contribute to the day and be a part of rallying’s big thank you, it would be appreciated.

09/10/05 The Irish Rally Competitors Association are pleased to announce the Marshals Pay back day has been re scheduled to Saturday 5th November 2005.
As ever the purpose of this day is to provide an opportunity to pay thanks for the marshals who make our sport possible during the season.

Marshals will be allowed 3 passenger rides in 3 different classes of rally cars (entries permitting) Competitors will then be given the opportunity to bring their own guests for passenger rides on the Mondello track. It promises to be a great day for all. Entries are available now and all profits from the day will be donated to the Temple Street Children's Hospital Fund.
