Skibbereen & District Car Club Motor Show Charity Day - 4 Aug 02

The Second Motor Show Charity Day organised by Skibbereen & District Car Club will take place on Sunday 4th August 2002 at Clonakilty Show Grounds

This is an occasion not to be missed as the programme promises to be both interesting and entertaining catering for all age groups.

The Charities chosen to benefit this year are:

  • The Chemotherapy Day Care Ward in Cork University Hospital
  • The Irish Guide Dogs Association
  • West Cork Wheelchair Support Group

One of the big attractions this year is the appearance of the Bat Limo which featured in the movie "Gotham City".........a unique opportunity for all Batman and Robin fans to view it at close proximity.

Also on display will be some rare and beautiful cars e.g. Model T, DeLorean, Cadillac and Lincoln. From the high preformance stakes Ferrari's, Porsche's, Lotus's and BMW M3.

The following clubs will also be in attendance:
Skibbereen & District Car Club, Cork Motor Club, Munster Motorcycle & Car Club, Killarney & District Motor Club, R.S. Club, Subaru Club, West Cork Vintage Club, West Cork Motorcycle Club, Mini Club, Cooper Registered Club, Cortina Club, Capri Club, Cork Autograss Club, Cabery Hot Rod Club, Autotest cars, Volkswagen Audi Porsche Club, Vauxhall Opel performance Club, Beetle Club, Morgan Club and many more exciting individually owned cars.

Throughout the day you can take part in many activities and competitions e.g. Crushed Car, Guess the Tyre, Guess number of Balloons in car, Guess Weight of Engine etc....
Childern can enjoy the Bouncing Castle and videos and many other exciting amusements- a superb day guaranteed.
