Round three of the Gerry Murphy Tyres Munster Autocross Championship took place in glorious sunshine last Sunday at Bobby O’Connell’s Quarry in Ardnacrusha near Parteen in Co. Clare. A very challenging course set out by the Clare Motor Club under Clerk of the course Alan O’Callaghan saw thirty seven competitors Start the event and thirty six finish.
Each competitor got a practice run followed by four timed runs.

Dromara’s Denis Biggerstaff has taken a novel approach to selling his Subaru Impreza WRC - he’s using the internet’s leading auction website, Ebay! The car bears chassis number PRO/WRC/97.001, indicating that it is the first World Rally Car Subaru produced by Banbury outfit, Prodrive.

Marcus Dodd (Poole) and Andrew Bargery (Brighton) were last week awarded an honorary testimonial from the Royal Humane Society for an act of bravery during last year's Swansea Bay National Rally. Both Marcus and Andrew jumped into a lake to aid Paul Jones and Hamish Campbell whose rally car had landed upside down and was totally submerged.

Lucan Model Car Club was formed three years ago to cater for people interested in racing I/10 scale radio controlled electric model touring cars.
The aim of the club is to try and attract new local people to our sport.
The club has about twenty members at the moment, and meet every Sunday afternoon in a schoolyard in Lucan village, Dublin from 1.30 to 5.30.
There is no age limit to our sport, from 8 years old to 80 years are welcome.
