Thanks to Joe Shinnors

Reigning Munster Autocross Champion Ger Lucey made it 3 in a row on Sunday at Whelan’s Quarry, Ennis in the 3rd round of this year’s Jerry Murphy Tyres, Yokohama Munster Championship. Having set fastest time on the 1st run, Ger had to overtake David Forde who had snatched the lead on the 2nd timed run by 104 secs. Then on the 3rd run Richard Percy went into a 2sec lead. Ger decided it was time to show who is the boss when he drove a perfect 4th timed run to win by almost 3secs, in his 2002 spec Toyota Special, from Richard Percy in his faithful Ford powered special who relegated David Forde to 3rd overall with a Toyota Special. Michael O’Sullivan completed the top four and took best saloon award in his newly built pristine Escort mk2 2.0.
