This years traditional two day Hewison Autotest on its new dates of December 8th and 9th takes place in a new venue . The all concrete surface within the confines of Lagan quarry close to Sligo town will conveniently accommodate on both days . Moving to the new date it is also hoped to attract the full compliment of championship regulars and possibly appeal to some new competitors.

The club are running in tandem on both days an additional series of Clubman loose surface tests suitable for endurance and standard production cars . It will be devised to reach out to the novice and entry level competitor and those who participate in multi-venue events. With the availability of competitive entry fees and one day licences, the club hope it will attract some interested newcomers.

Due to the restricted day light hours , competitors are advised that sign on commences at 9.30am sharp.
Attractive room rates are also possible for the Saturday night.

"Following negotiation with the Hewison Autotest committee Connacht Motor Club have decided to postpone the upcoming double header event that was scheduled for the 27th/28th of October.     

Due to a clash of other events the availability of a number of competitors was compromised.    

Subject to Motorsport Ireland approval, the event will be run on the weekend of the 8th and 9th of December.      Connacht Motor Club have a long association with running Hewison Autotests and we are very committed to running another challenging event for this unique form of motorsport.
