Back to the Future for CMC's Christmas Autocross

CMC are delighted to announce that plans are at an advanced stage for this year's Christmas Autocross. The event takes place on is traditional date of December 27th and always proves to be a popular event with competitors eager to shake off the Christmas cabin fever with some sideways gravel action.

This year's event sees a new COC, a new event sponsor and the return of a classic venue which has not been used in over 10 years. Paul Sheehan takes over the COCs role for the 2014 event and is delighted to announce that Lee Valley Harbour have come on board as the event sponsor. The venue also brings exciting news as Regan's Quarry; Coachford has been confirmed. This fabulous venue, which has not been used for Autocross events in over 10 years, proved to be a firm favourite with competitors down through the years and CMC are delighted to make the return.

Paul has already been busy selecting a testing yet enjoyable course. A 750m lap has been selected with each timed run consisting of two laps totalling 1.5km per run. The event will consist of three timed runs with the best timed run to count.

The event is the final round of the 2014 National Autocross Championship and the 1st round of the 2015 Cork Motor Club Championship. Regulations will be available in the coming weeks.
