With still more than a week to go to theRiverRidge Recycling Dogleap Tarmac Stages Rally,COC Jon McIvor reports that entries are coming in and look very strong Jon added
" The drivers I have talked to are pretty excited by the prospect of longer stages. The Shackelton stages we have used to date have been very popular because of a good mix of fast and twisty. The new stages will have more of the same. I really want to offer the best value possible with nearly 30% increase in stage mileage which brings it to almost 40 miles
Eamon Doherty, MD of title sponsor RiverRidge Recycling is delighted with the way things are going.
"I want to commend the work of the Maiden City Motor Club. They are continually looking for ways to improve the event, the new stages being a prime example. I can't wait to get out there myself and Compete
I would like to thank the OFMdFM in Stormont, for their continued support and use of Shackleton Ballykelly
Without this venue: Maiden City Motor club would not be able to support our choosen charity ( Foyle Hospice ) and the local Business Community. M.C.M.C. would also like to thank RiverRidge Recycling for there continued support and sponsorship.

RiverRidge rallies to support Maiden City Motor Club
Posted: June 16, 2013 8:49 AM
FOLLOWING the success of last year’s Dog Leap Stage Rally, which saw more than 125 competitors rally over the former army barracks at Shackleton, organisers have today confirmed that local waste management company RiverRidge Recycling is back on board as title sponsors of the event.
Taking place on Saturday 3rd August at Shackleton, this year’s event, organised by Maiden City Motor Club, is set to thrill rally fans from far and wide and boost tourism to the area.
Clerk of the Course, Jon McIvor, said,
“I am delighted to announce RiverRidge Recycling as the title sponsor for the 2013 Dogleap Rally. The event will be known as The RiverRidge Recycling Tarmac Stages Rally. The Maiden City Motor Club first formed a very successful partnership with RiverRidge Recycling in 2012 for the Dogleap Rally and subsequently for the Turkey Run. RiverRidge Recycling has been a pleasure to work with and it is great that we can continue to build on the success of last year’s events.”
The popular event will once again be based in the Shackelton complex and rally fans should look forward to an action-packed day.
“My team has been busy in recent weeks and I hope to soon be able to announce details of revised stages with additional competitive miles. It is also important for MCMC to support the marvellous work of the Foyle Hospice and they will continue to be our Charity Partner for this event,” added Jon.
Eamon Doherty, Financial Director of RiverRidge Recycling, himself an active and enthusiastic rally competitor said, “RiverRidge Recycling is extremely happy with their association with the Maiden City Motor Club and I am really excited by the prospect of returning to Shackelton and building on the success of last year. It is a fantastic venue with brilliant stages and this year should be no exception with the prospect of even longer and more varied stages.”
