The day started quite wet but cleared in the afternoon. The 900m grass track saw some of the countries best Autocross racers compete for National Championship points in their penultimate round. The Fastest time and overall Specials winner went to James Lucey from Cork, he had mechanical problems and only posted one timed two lap run but it was enough for his second championship victory of the year. He was followed by Ian Byrne and Dave Fallon (who still leads the championship). Whitby Moinaghan came forth.

In the saloon car class Ger Brennan claimed first with David Beamisn 2nd, Oliver Mc Cormack 3rd and Pat Driver 4th. In the interminate class Shane Norris won with Johathan Carroll second. The Ladies class seen Gemma Kerley win from Niamh Scally. And finally the Juniors prize went to Darragh Kelly followed by Raymond Shaw. The Westmeath and District Motor Club would again like to thank Patrick Lynam for the use of his field. And we also want to thank the competitors, spectators and all those who helped make this event possible, especially neighboring car clubs for the loan of equipment. Our next event will be an autotest in Mullingar on Sunday the 4th of November. For more information find us our facebook page listed westmeathanddistrictmotorclub.
