Loughransigns Midlands East Rally Championship - READY TO GO FOR 2011

The 2011 rally season is upon us and we’re set for another successful year of the Loughransigns Midlands East Rally Championship. Last year was a great year and congratulations to everyone who took part and to the overall winners Stephen Cullen and Brendan Ryan. A great and very late night of celebrations was had in the Boyne Valley Hotel in November, and a big thank you to everyone involved with the championship over the year and who attended on the night.

We are pleased to have our main sponsor Dominic Loughran back again this year along with the four associate sponsors John Carter A&A Insulation , Declan Tansey Construction, Tom Holton Windows and Patsy Carberry Sand and Gravel. Even with the hard times in rallying last year we still had great support again and hope it continues this year. This year’s Championship comprises of 6 rounds, starting this weekend in Abbeyleix for the Birr stages rally, then Midland MC stages on 27th March, brand new round Loais RallySport Mini Stages on 12th June, ALMC Motor Club on 17th July, Castle Stages on 4th September and the final round GSMC Mini Stages on 16th October. Best three rounds to count. Registration is only €20 per car (€10 per competitor)

We hope that registered competitors can compete on as many rounds as possible but realise that some competitors may not be in a position to contest all rounds. If this is the case, we would ask you to come out and help on any round you are not competing in. This year we also have an incentive for all registered competitors. By registering for the championship this year and starting 3 rounds, each registered competitor will be entered in a draw for a trip for 2 to Rallye de Portugal 2012
