Mayo & District Motor sport Club Quiz Night, a great success.

The Mayo & District Motor sport Club Quiz Night took place in Hanley’s Bar Claremorris on Friday the 4th of December.

There was a great turn out for the quiz with well over eighty people packing Hanley’s bar. Teams took part in what was to be a very challenging quiz. The night was organized by Eamon Hanley, Killian Duffy, James Culliney, Michael Loughney and they were delighted with the attendance.

The club managed to raise approximately €600 for an yet to be confirmed charity. There was also a raffle with some incredible prizes. First Prize was an entry into the Mayo Stages Rally 2010, which will be based out of the McWilliam Park Hotel Claremorris. This great prize went to local man Riche Trent. Second Prize of Lico Racesuit this went to David Loughney. Third prize was a €100 fuel voucher for McHughs Texaco Ballindine this went to James Culliney.

The club would like to thank the organizer’s, Eamon Walsh for the kind use of his bar, and everyone who attended, for making it a memorable night in Claremorris.
