At a meeting held in the offices of Motorsport Ireland last night, at which representatives of the Governing Body, the TROA, Event Organisers and Competitors were present, a joint strategy was agreed for the organisation of international events in the year ahead.

Gerry Murphy was re-elected for his third year as President of Galway Motor Club at the club's annual general meeting in the Salthill Hotel, Galway this week. Brian Thornton was elected as vice-President and media officer. The honorary secretary is again Dennis Murphy, and Bobby Clinton was confirmed as honorary treasurer.

Mark Fisher wins the 1999 Super 106 Cup Posted: October 30, 1999 11:20 AM


Despite retiring from the final round of the championship. Mark Fisher (Son of Bertie) has won the 1999 Super Peugeot 106 Cup championship title and, in doing so secure himself two drives in a Peugeot 206 WRC in the 2000 World Rally Championship.
