Cyril McCullough won the final round of Co. Cavan Motor Clubs Autocross chp. on the 27th of december.This gives him 5 wins from 7 starts and also a maximum points finish in the championship.

Some of the closest competition in Autocross was seen at Firies over the August Bank holiday weekend at Killarney And District Motorclub’s 2 day Autocross Meeting. The event counted for Rounds 7 & 8 of the Bio-Tech National Autocross Championship and Rounds 3 & 4 of the Darby O' Gills Killarney Autocross Championship.

Challenging conditions greeted the 50 competitors early Sunday morning for the Drogheda Hire NEMC Loose Surface Autocrss in Murphy's quarry Gormanstown. Quickest of the line for the wet first run was Monaghan man Maurice Moffett in his hybird 6r4 powered Ford Escort, closely persued by Dan O'Donohue in his Metro 6R4 and James Foley in his Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 6

Midland/Birr Autocross Challenge, Ballinahown, Athlone, Co. Westmeath, 21/22nd July 2001.

Entries are now closed for the event with a maximum entry received along with a reserve list. There is a very strong entry with the strongest challenges coming from the likes of Gordon Percy, Cathal Hogan, Ger Brennan, Ian Byrne and Chris Behan plus Eoin Woods.

Cathal Hogan from Ballinasloe took the honours on both Saturday and Sunday in the Galway Motor Club rounds of the Gordon Percy Engine Centre National Autocross championship at Ballinasloe on Saturday and Sunday, August 14th/15th, 1999. The event was supported by Mike O'Boyle's M J Systems, Galway and attracted 43 starters.
