It will come as no surprise that Machars Car Club have decided to cancel their proposed Coast2Coast Rally on 8th May later this year.

The organisers were only too well aware in December that this would be the likely outcome but remained ever hopeful that a New Year might bring good cheer. Sadly it didn't. Although the future for the nation looks a bit brighter at present it promises to be a long road back to recovery after this pandemic. The decision was taken by the full event committee last week and all interested parties and sponsors were informed at the weekend ahead of this wider announcement.

The Gallovidians are known for being a stubborn bunch and Machars Car Club are amongst the most prolific practitioners of this ancient art. A point echoed by Rally Manager Roy Campbell:
"The stalwarts within this club have spent too much time and effort to let it go to waste so the plan is to keep on going with the work that has been done and continue to refine the route and details. We'll get this show on the road somehow. So please mark your diary now. See you all next year on Saturday May 7th 2022."
